EUSC are a friendly, welcoming club with a positive presence on campus. We are committed to providing a professional, fun and enriching environment to all of our members. We offer coaching for all levels of swimming and enjoy a strong presence at BUCS competitions. We maintain a strong working relationship with the Athletic Union; who oversee the development of sport at the university, and also with the local Swimming Club: Exeter City. Our goal at EUSC is to provide each of our members with the opportunity to diversify their time at University outside of their studies and enjoy the experiences that being part of a University sports team has to offer.

EUSC was founded by Elaine Sherriffs and Jenny Griggs back in 1975 and has since grown from a small size of 10 members to now recruiting over 200 members year on year. You can find out more about our history here.

The club has had many noteable achievements and produced some of the fastest students in the country, with many succesful British University and College Sport (BUCS) swimming championship results. These include individual and team finalists and is one of the few sports at Exeter that have won medals at university competitions.

Whether you are joining the university or are in your final year, you are always welcome to join. If you need any information or assistance, do not hesitate to get in touch.

Our Pools

St Lukes

The sports park located on the St. Lukes Campus is where the majority of out training is held. During terms 1 and 2 all but 1 of our sessions a week are held here with swimming sessions in the indoor pool and Circuits sessions in the Upper Sports hall.

A recent increase in the number of members of the club has allowed us to hire out the pool at Pyramids leisure centre (Just down the road from St. Lukes). The 6 lane 25 pool provides a large amount of space and provides the ability to cater for a much wider range of abilities. We have hosted our annual varsity here for the past few years inviting local universities down to compete and join us for an epic after party.

Cornwall House

The heated outdoor pool is the highlight of the years training sessions. Only available in term 3 we host 2 sessions a week here.
