Bleeding Green in CARDIFF

Last weekend, 17 brave members of EUSC headed down to Cardiff for a weekend of hard training and fabulous performances (both in the pool and on the stage 😉 ) This trip is an annual EUSC tradition to prepare our BUCS team before they off to Sheffield in 2 weeks for the 2017 BUCS National Long Course Championships. The weekend started off on Friday evening with a late night sprint set session in the 25m pool. The team were feeling strong and headed off back to the hostel for a good nights rest before the big day of training on Saturday. Saturday started early with a gym session at Dave’s gym – and let’s just say the famous run up the big hill was the easy bit! With tired legs and sore arms the team had a brief break before the next session on the day in the Cardiff 50m pool. It was great getting some long course practice and the team finished off Saturday with a solid 5k swim set. On Saturday evening the team headed out for a meal and the much awaited Fresh factor – congratulations to our winner Joe Massey for his fabulous performance! On Sunday morning the team headed to the 50m pool once again for their last long course session before heading back to Exeter. Thank you Lydia, Aeron and Wintee for driving, and to everyone for your hard work and commitment – it will undoubtedly pay off at BUCS in 2 weeks!! Keep training hard! #bleedgreen #splishysplashylongcoursetraininglove
